History worth DRAWING

Hello, I’m Megan, an illustrative designer based in the beautiful Peak District of Derbyshire, UK.

Over the last few years, much of my work has focused on the heritage, museum and educational sectors after many years of more commercial freelance work. Rekindling my life-long love of history during Covid, I began working in the heritage industry and I haven’t looked back since. Combining my love of illustration and history, I work with a variety of clients, helping them connect with audiences through engaging, educational and creative illustration - always with a respect for history and tradition.

Heritage isn't just my subject matter. It's my specialist area. With experience working within the heritage sector and a background in heritage studies, I understand the challenges of communicating complex histories to real audiences. I combine research, illustration and design to create work that is historically thoughtful, visually engaging and accessible.

Whilst my expertise lies in the cultural sector, I welcome opportunities across a variety of fields and would be delighted to discuss your ideas and projects. Whether you have a fully formed project or just the beginnings of an idea, I'd love to hear about it.
